Active Flora Duo is a combination of active, living microorganisms and is used to maintain and restore the amount of intestinal microflora in the digestive tract.
Saccharomусеs boulardii (S. boulardii) is a live yeast widely used in the maintenance of the intestinal flora, the beneficial effects of which have been confirmed by clinical studies [1].
Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG and S. boulardii are recommended by the World Gastroenterology Organization Global Guidelines for children and adults [2].
Inulin belongs to the category of carbohydrates known as fructans. The addition of inulin to active, living microorganisms improves their survival and inclusion in the intestinal flora; inulin selectively stimulates the growth or activates the catabolism of one or certain health-promoting groups of bacteria. Active and live microorganisms contained in the preparation improve the microbiological balance of the gastrointestinal tract [3].
